Description
'My Favorite Things' by JOHN COLTRANE, released as a 7" vinyl record for RECORD STORE DAY in 2018. This 45RPM single was issued on black vinyl, on Atlantic Records. This was part of a limited edition of 1,000 pieces produced for Record Store Day as a 'RSD First' release. The records were not individually numbered. There is also a 45RPM record adapter that was included with the record, as shown. The adapter can be used to play the record on a standard turntable, or removed to allow for play on a turntable that already has an adapter installed.
The record was released in a paper color sleeve, with a plastic outer sleeve. The adapter has created impressions in the plastic sleeve, as shown in the photos.
The offifial solicitation from the Record Store Day site reads: "Only previously available in the Coltrane Mono vinyl box, this is replica of the original ‘My Favorite Things Part I & II’ 7”, a hit single for the legendary jazz giant in 1961. Exclusively for RSD 2018, the stand alone 7” is one-time availability of the single, restricted to the US-only, & limited to 1000 copies worldwide. ‘My Favorite Things Part I & II’ ‘comes in a reproduction of the original 1961 Atlantic Records stock sleeve, and with remastered mono audio from the Atlantic Records vaults."

The record is new, and has never been played. There are no marks on the playing surface of the record. The outer plastic sleeve shows some impressions made by the record adapter, and the paper sleeve shows some light creases in the upper corners. The photos show the actual item that the winner will receive. If you require a mint shrinkwrap, we would suggest that you pass on this item.
