JOHN COLTRANE OLE COLTRANE
Issue : UK Stereo 1st PRESS Label : ATLANTIC Catalogue No : SAH-K 6223 Matrix : AMZ 2076 1W / 2077 2W
This rare UK 1st press is on the the plain blue London/Atlantic label. It is complete with the very earliest AMZ 2076 1W / 2077 2W matrix, the original company inner sleeve and the original laminated St James Press sleeve. Released in 1962, the album also features George Lane, Freddie Hubbard, McCoy Tyner, Reggie Workman, Art Davis and Elvin Jones.
The vinyl is in Excellent condition. It has a sensational gloss, there is no whitening or signs of wear to the grooves, there are just a couple extremely light wispy marks on both sides. The original Atlantic label is exceptionally bright and completely clean. The colour is solid and unworn, the text is sharp and there is NO spindle wear, just a couple of faint spider marks.
The sound quality is Excellent. The vinyl lies completely flat on the turntable and the sound is exceptionally rich and warm. Superb clarity and audio separation from start to finish. Just a few moments of very light background noise but certainly nothing that spoils the enjoyment of this album at any point. It is in sensational condition.
The laminated sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. The laminate has the most sensational mirrored shine. The colours are solid, the text is crisp and the image is perfect. There is a little discolouration and a name on the rear top of the sleeve. There is an old record shop sticker on the bottom of the sleeve. The whole sleeve is solid and the spine is firm with clear text.
