Description

JOHN CONTRANE ON WEST 42nd STREET
Issue : UK Mono 1st PRESS       Label : REALM      Catalogue No : RM 157       Matrix : RM 157 A2/B2

This UK 1st press is on the the original two tone blue Realm label. It is complete with the original RM 157 A2/B2 matrix and the original laminated flipback Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve. Released in 1964, the album also features Wilburn Harden, Tommy Flanagan, Doug Watkins and Louis Hayes.
The vinyl is in Excellent condition. It has a sensational gloss, there is no whitening or signs of wear to the grooves, there are just a few extremely light wispy marks on both sides. The original Realm label is exceptionally bright and completely clean. The colour is solid and unworn, the text is sharp and there is only the slightest spindle wear.
The sound quality is Excellent. The vinyl lies completely flat on the turntable and the sound is exceptionally rich, vibrant and clear.
The laminated sleeve is in Excellent condition. The laminate has the most sensational mirrored shine. The black is solid, the red is vivid and the image is perfect. There are a couple of little laminate creases. The unlaminated rear of the sleeve has the slightest discolouration, but it is still very clean and bright. The spine is very firm with clear text.
