This is a reasonably priced nice condition ORIGINAL 1960s ERA MONAURAL PRESSING OF THE 1963 U.S. IMPULSE RECORDS LP titled 'Ballads' from The John Coltrane Quartet. It is U.S. Impulse Records catalog number A-32, orange and black labels, laminated gatefold cover. Personnel: John Coltrane-tenor sax / McCoy Tyner-piano / Jimmy Garrison-bass / Elvin Jones-drums. Tracks: Say It (Over And Over Again), You Don't Know What Love Is, Too Young To Go Steady, All Or Nothing At All, I Wish I Knew, What's New, It's Easy To Remember, Nancy (With The Laughing Face). Visual condition of record is conservatively a high VG+ with just a few very light surface and sleeve marks which mostly show up only under strong light, cannot be felt, and will not affect play. Condition of cover is a high VG+ with the only real flaws being a little general contact wear and a little general wear and a couple of small frayed areas along the edges and on the corners. This mono beauty would be a choice addition to any modern jazz record collection!
