RARE MONO LP BY JOHN COLTRANE

CRESCENT

Featuring John Coltrane, McCoy Tyner, Jimmy Garrison, and Elvin Jones

Original 1964 Impulse Mono A-66 LP in very good plus (see note belo) condtion

Description: Here's my personal copy of CRESCENT, by the John Coltrane Quatret---Mono, with John Coltrane, Tenor and Soprano Sax; McCoy Tyner, piano;Jimmy Garrison, Bass;  and Elvin Jones, Drums; Recorded  April 27 and June 1, 1964. Impulse Mono A-66;  Hand inscribed A-66-A and A-66-B markings on the two sides adjacent to the label. The vinyl LP has only been played a few times; I'm no expert on grading LP's, but I have listened to it through on a good B&O linear drive turnable before listing it, and there are no skips or notable scratches. I haven't attempted to wash it to reduce any residual noise but the LP looks cosmetically very good; The cover is slightly scuffed, especially at the edges (see the photos on this listing), but not split, with moderate handling soil. It's been kept upright; Lovely music, and a hard-to find record in this old issue.

NOTE added November 3: Following the inquiry below, I have looked up grading (on the Goldmine URL), and this is clearly a VG+ copy, with the surface still glossy and no notable scratches or warps, surface noise minimal (only perceptible on very quiet passages), and the cover showing no major tears or scuffs. I have amended the listing and title to reflect this.

Shipping:  Shipped  well packed with the LP separate from the cover. Domestic US Shipping by media mail at $4.00 cost. Priority rates available on request. International shipping will be expensive, since first class/priority mail (or express mail) is the only option. I will set a flat rate for international shipping of $25.00, but consult with me and perhaps I can find a cheaper price to specific international destinations. All buyers must pay according to eBay policies.  If you have any questions about this, please email me.

Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.
