DESCRIPTION
The John Coltrane Quartette - “Coltrane” Impulse Records A-21 / AS-21 (Stereo) from 1962. Great Post-Bop Jazz Album from John Coltrane and his Quartette! Along with Coltrane the band features McCoy Tyner, Jimmy Garrison and Elvin Jones and is produced by Bob Thiele with Engineer Rudy Van Gelder! This is a later 1968 pressing on the Impulse/ABC Label with a Red outer rim reading "A product of ABC Records, Inc. New York, N.Y. 10019. Made in USA.” In the Laminated Gatefold Cover.
CONDITION
The Sleeve shows some slight basic ring and edge wear. There is some lossening of the Lamination in the front upper left corner and on the back along the upper spine. There are the remnants of a piece of red tape wrapping around the spine from the lower left front to the lower right back - probably someone’s cataloging system and probably removable. Very solid and I would rate it as a VG+. The Vinyl itself is in Glossy condition. There are a few light sleeve scuffs and a couple of hairlines but nothing at all serious and nothing that affects play aside from a bit of groove noise in the quiet sections. Still very nice and should rate VG+. The labels show a couple light spindle trails but are otherwise Near Mint.

TERMS AND DEFINITIONS
Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK.
Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less! If you are not satisfied that a purchase meets my description, I will do what I can to make it right if you give me the chance and work with me! Please feel free to check my feedback.
