About This Item: Beautiful, near mint Original first pressing Mono vinyl LP of "Coltrane" on Impulse Records A-21 on the orange and black label with the Van Gelder stamped seal of approval. The vinyl is just drop dead gorgeous with nary a flaw and lots of sheen for optimum fidelity and of course longevity. The labels too are spotless/flawless. The gatefold laminated cover is near mint with a tiny tiny drilled hole on the bottom right. The inside gatefold is spotless but for the signature in fine blue ballpoint of one Robert Quine(RIP) who in '62 was just a fan/collector, but 25 years later would become one of NY's finest guitar slingers working with the likes of Lou Reed, Tom Waits, Brian Eno, John Zorn to name a few, otherwise the inside of this gatefold is clean. Note: we just bought a massive collection of this ilk which you'll be seeing in the next few weeks/months. Most are one original (62 year old) owner who kept his collection with meticulous care.
