-ORIGINAL VINTAGE FROM 1961
In 1960, Coltrane left Miles [Davis] and formed his own quartet to further explore modal playing, freer directions, and a growing Indian influence. They transformed "My Favorite Things", the cheerful populist song from 'The Sound of Music,' into a hypnotic eastern dervish dance. The recording was a hit and became Coltrane's most requested tune—and a bridge to broad public acceptance.

RECORD: ORIGINAL VINTAGE! LP is in VG+ (very good+) condition. very mild audible background noise and some tics. The record sounds very nice! Clean. Some minor barely visible light surface scratches. (See photos.)
ALBUM COVER: ORIGINAL. VG++ vintage condition. NO shrink wrap. Shows some signs of normal use such as minor wrinkles or fraying on cardboard edges. No splitting, bent corners, stains or missing paper. (See photos.)
INNER SLEEVE: ORIGINAL. Some signs of normal use and wear. No tears but paper sleeve is split on one edge. (See photos.)
