Description

John Fahey ~ Blind Joe Death Takoma C 1002 1964
John Fahey's monumental first album, featuring unique instrumental guitar work (strongly influenced by American folk and blues traditions) that has become highly influential and revered over the years. The album features one of my favorite Fahey pieces, "The Transcendental Waterfall".
Original 1964 U.S. Takoma Pressing  ~Cardboard cover with black print on front and back~ ~'Takoma C 1002' at top left~ ~Notes along the bottom: "This record is a limited pressing, second edition. Transcendental Waterfall/On Doing An Evil Deed Blues/In Christ There Is No East Or West and Uncloudy Day recorded in Berkeley, California, in April, 1964, in the studio of an anonymous benefactor" ~Glossy black Takoma labels with silver text and two horizontal lines~ ~Side 1 credits 'Blind Joe Death', Side 2 credits 'John Fahey'
CONDITION:
Cover: VG to VG+. Glossy front cover, slight ringwear to back. 3 inch seam split at bottom; 4.5 inch seam split at top. No writing or other wear.  Labels: VG/VG+. Side 1 label has some spindle marks. Side 2 is wear-free. Vinyl: Overall VG++. Vinyl shows a few superficial and light sleeve marks. Most of album plays through NM- or better on my turntable, amazing sound with just a couple sporadic dust pops. One small mark on "Transcendental Waterfall" plays as a soft tick for a few consecutive revolutions.

Bid with confidence. This album is fully refundable if you are not completely satisfied. International shipping $18.41. No shipping to Italy.  Please contact me if you have specific questions about shipping or handling.
