Description

JOHN FAHEY – The Voice of the Turtle

Rare LP released in 1968 on Takoma Records. Includes bound-in 12-page booklet explicating some of the thornier points of Fahey’s biography and philosophy, and decorated with “genuine photographs of Blind Joe Death, Knott’s Berry Farm Molly, the Adelphi Rolling Grist Mill, &c.” TRACKS: Bottleneck Blues; Bill Cheatum; Lewisdale Blues; Bean Vine Blues; A Raga Called Pat Part III; A Raga Called Pat Part IV; Train; Je Ne Me Suis Reveillais Matin Pas En May; The Story of Dorothy Gooch Part I; Nine-Pound Hammer; Lonesome Valley. CONDITION: Gatefold cover is in very good condition save for light to moderate wear, rubbing, and discoloration. The disc is in excellent condition; it plays nicely, with no skips and little or no surface noise. U.S. SHIPPING INFO: I ship all records in a sturdy padded mailer via USPS media mail with delivery confirmation. This costs $4.00 for up to three records, and usually takes 3 to 10 days to arrive (note, however, that it can take longer). Priority mail or USPS overnight service is available on request.

Insurance is optional, but recommended; it costs $1.65 for coverage up to $50.00, and $2.05 for coverage up to $100.00.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING INFO: Airmail shipping for a single album is $7.50 to Canada, and $13.50 to everywhere else. (Albums that are especially heavy, or include booklets, may cost more.) I’m happy to combine shipping for multiple wins, based on actual package weight.

I pack all records carefully, and shipped them in a very sturdy cardboard mailer with two protective inserts; these mailers cost me $1.50 each, and this amount is included in the price above.
