Description

I bought this Lp in 1987 as a member of NARAS, the Nat'l Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (The GRAMMY Awards people). As a professional musician, I had access to buy any recently released promo at a discount. I purchased quite a few and didn’t get around to listening to many of them. I never listened to this one! This Lp did not come to me in shrink wrap as it had been removed by the label in order to put their promotional stamp on the back. The record is mint! I didn’t want to take it out of the poly inner sleeve and attract any dust. The sleeve is in beautiful, near mint, bright white condition. The only blemish is a tiny bit of age spotting near the upper left front corner and a few tiny indents on the front cover in the middle (please see close up pic). Please see all pics.  Corners are clean, edges are free from wear. Record will be shipped in proper Lp mailer with stiffeners, poly sleeve and corner protection. According to the disccogs website, this version appears to be a rare label variant. "Label variation of John Lee Hooker - The Real Folk Blues

Same blue Chess label but with different fonts, "SIDE ONE" instead of "SIDE 1", different fine print, etc." THey have no records of this particular version being sold on Ebay or elsewhere.
