Description

John Lennon - 'Walls And Bridges'. PCTC 253

John Lennon 1974 UK 1st FACTORY SAMPLE DEMO pressing of the 'Walls And Bridges' album. Released on the 4th October 1974, offered her fully complete with ALL INSERTS and in wonderful EXCELLENT/EXCELLENT condition.

These initial early factory sample pressings would have usually been given out to reviewers, radio stations or used as quality control within the pressing plant.

Released on the Apple Records label both sides have a small additional ridge towards the center (hard to photograph). This maybe a feature of a contract pressing but I am not 100% sure. The album package is offered here fully complete with - original unlaminated cover with fold over portions, full colour booklet containing lyrics and Lennon's childhood drawings and sepia coloured thick card inner sleeve. The vinyl also features crossed out matrix numbers on both sides a feature of the UK 1st press.

The Matrix numbers are:

Side 1. YEX 937-Z5 1 ?O (SW1-3416-Z-5 etched and crossed out).

Side 2. YEX 938-Z6 5 RR (SW2-3416-Z-6 etched and crossed out).

The vinyl is in EXCELLENT condition. BUT one notable mark on side two which does not effect play. Both sides of the vinyl have been play tested with NO faults, sounds wonderful light crackle can be heard.

Both labels are in MINT- condition. Factory Sample sticker has been picked at causing some wear (I have included a large picture).

The sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition.

The inner sleeve is in EXCELLENT+ condition.

The booklet is in EXCELLENT- condition.

This LP will be very carefully packaged for transit. UK recorded postage is: £4.00. EU recorded postage is: £9.95. Rest of the world recorded postage is: £14.95. Combined, reduced postage is available.

VINYL VISUALLY GRADED BASED ON UK RECORD COLLECTOR GRADES WITH A + OR -.
