John Lennon Plastic Ono Band “Imagine” 1st pressing LP from 1971, with YEX 866 -1U matrix numbers, the special inner sleeve, poster and postcard!! The codes on each side are OT and PD, and the LP also has hand-etched "PORKY" and "PECKO" mastering signatures from George Peckham, who mastered a lot of Beatle records. These signatures are not present on later pressings and re-masterings. This is simply a brilliant copy of this classic LP. I know its not that rare, but it is hard to find in this condition! Its like new in most respects, and has one careful owner. The LP was always kept in a protective cover, so the sleeve shines like new! It has only extremely light “handling” creases, which do not detract in any way from the “new” look, and it honestly appears to be a day or two old! The rare original poster is MINT, never opened until today (carefully!) and the postcard of JWL with the animal in the “Ram” pose is mint also! The inner sleeve has a few light creases due to it being a tight fit in the outer sleeve, otherwise brilliant, and the record excellent! It is fairly heavy vinyl, and the labels are perfect, with a few very light spindle trails, otherwise I’d doubt that it was ever played at all! The vinyl is excellent, in fact apart from a small scuff on track one (not a scratch), it is near mint! This scuff produces a few very light clicks, on the first few revolutions, as it is mainly in the run-in grooves right at the edge of the record, and hardly visible, and as I haven’t cleaned the LP I think it may be improved upon!!
