JOHN LENNON IMAGINE APPLE Q4PAS 10004
Ultra rare QUADRAPHONIC version released by EMI in relatively small numbers in 1972. COMPLETE with original poster, original photo, and original inner sleeve.
RECORD: Matrices Side 1:QEX 865-3 Side 2: QEX 866-4
Excellent visually, nice glossy sheen, virtually no surface marks.
The audio is excellent throughout, very occasional background clicks. ‘How’ on side 2 has a few crackles in quieter parts. Excellent, clean labels, correctly printed with ‘quadraphonic’ on both sides.
A very well looked after record given its almost 45 years old.
The COVER: The correct quadraphonic version with the boxed logo in the top right hand corner and Q$PAS10004 on the spine. Slight laminate creasing and corner wear but excellent overall with no marks or writing.
The fragile paper INNER SLEEVE is still intact with no rips or tears. Some ‘browning/ageing on the white parts but an excellent example overall.
The POSTCARD PHOTO of Lennon with a pig is a great, clean example!
The fold out POSTER has been mainly kept in its folds, but it does have a couple of tiny crease rips as a result of unfolding over the years. It is lovely and clean and is an excellent example.
Totally original components, all complete and intact, one owner since new. This is a fantastic opportunity to own a very rare piece of recording history, when QUADRAPHONIC LPs made a brief entry into the music world.
