JOHN LENNON - QUADRAPHONIC
A highly collectable and truly excellent condition copy of this John Lennon classic with all components and the little played vinyl and superb quadraphonic sound quality being real highlights.

Originally released in 1971, this is the rare and sought after 1972 UK quadraphonic release complete with original printed inner, poster, & postcard. The condition of the vinyl is truly excellent plus (EX+), gleaming with a beautiful jet black sheen and obviously sparingly played. Even with close inspection under a bright light I can only barely identify just a couple of extremely faint paper scuffs - stunning, and hard to believe that this record is now 50 years old. The labels are again excellent plus (EX++) with just a few very small and extremely faint spindle trails on each. The laminated (both sides) outer sleeve is in excellent minus condition (EX-) with firm unscuffed edges and some light surface laminate creases adjacent to the edges (see photos). There is a little rubbing on the bottom right corner which otherwise remain as nicely defined right angles and a few tiny areas of laminate lift on the reverse side towards the bottom edge. The original printed inner sleeve, with song lyrics on one side and credits on the other, has no seam splits and just some very minor creasing and age discolouration and a little non-obvious scuffing next to the bottom edge on the front side; the original full size poster is in great condition with no tears or splits, no blue tac residue, and no pin holes; and the postcard photo of John & a pig is near mint. The quadraphonic sound quality is stunning, as you would expect : fabulous tone with perfect vocal & instrumentation sound quality throughout. This LP is timeless, and to listen to it being played in "quadraphonic" format is an absolute joy! POSTAGE COSTS :

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the sleeve itself to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
