Description
• Disc condition: VG - The disc is flat to the deck, no dishing or warping to it. Has moderate spindle wear, so it's been played. Visually under a strong light has light hairlines, and some light visible marks, plays as VG(+) with some background crackle. Obviously noticeable a little during quieter tracks, and not so much for louder ones.
• Sleeve condition: VG Laminated sleeve has a little edge wear and light ringwear. Spine lettering mostly legible.Sleeve could be VG(+). The other thing to note, is that the sleeve laminate construction is back to front. The front normally has full laminate, however, this copy, the laminate trails off so there is 2mm gap unlaminated on 3 edges. The back sleeve is fully laminated.
• Matrix: (machine stamped except * hand etched) YEX 865-1U 1 9 *PORKY YEX 866-1U 4 *PECKO
• This is a rare UK Apple contract pressing. Couldn't have been many made back then, as EMI pressed 99% of the UK copies. Judging by the deep ridged centre indentation on the labels, this was a contract pressing very likely made at the Orlake UK pressing plant that EMI have used for Beatles and Pink Floyd vinyl during the 1970's. The weight is 160 gram so slightly heavier than usual pressings for 1970's standards. As it is an early 1U/1U pressing then must be from 1971-72. Comes with a printed paper inner sleeve in good+, but no poster or postcard. If you're looking for rare variations of this album, then this is certainly one! Don't miss it!
