This is the UK 1st press of 'Imagine' by John Lennon. This press has the rarest and earliest 1U//1U matrix with Porky and Pecko engraved in the runout. It has the original printed inner sleeve, the original poster and earliest white edge postcard. The cover is the very earliest design, fully laminated with the rare pinched spine.
The record is in Very Good+ condition. The vinyl is exceptionally glossy. There are a few very light marks but it still looks superb. The label is also superb. The image is sharp and completely unworn, the greys and white are crisp and bright and there is just light spindle wear. We very carefully played this album and we are pleased to say it sounds as good as it looks. Sensational. There is just the very faintest occasional background noise in the quietest moments but it still sounds wonderful - exceptional audio seperation, extremely clear and vibrant.
The record has the original printed inner sleeve in Very Good condition. Very bright and completely clean and very sharp text and bold black. There is a little wear on the opening edge and a split on the bottom edge, but it is still very solid.
The original 1st press poster is in Near Mint exceptionally bright and solid condition. The 1st press postcard is also in Near Mint condition.
The fully laminated sleeve is in Excellent condition. The colours are bright and the image is bold. The lmainate has a superb polished shine and the text is sharp. There is just the slightest opening edge wear and a small light mark. The edges are very firm and the whole cover still feels solid. The 'pinched' spine is unworn with sharp text.
