Original 1972 UK Apple PCS 7161 / 62 2LP with Gatefold Sleeve and Two Liner Sleeves

This fantastic 1U / 1U / 1U / 1U Matrix double album is just one of a lovely collection of Beatle items I have purchased from an ex label licensing employee at EMI Records , Manchester Square , London W1

Copies of EMI records were available to employees working on current releases , with stickers attatched to sleeves or labels stating 'Factory Sample' or 'Manufacturers Property'

The discs have no signs of use , with no marks or wear evident .......... There is no label wear , no label spindle use : Unplayed condition.

The Gatefold Sleeve is remarkably bright , flat and crisp ...... with barely any signs of use : MINT minus condition.

The Liner Sleeves have minimal use , one has just a small top edge ripple : MINT minus condition

But here Lennon and Yoko, accompanied by New York's Elephant's Memory, sing and scream freely against sexism in "Woman Is the Nigger Of The World" and "Sisters, O Sisters." They protest incarceration in "John Sinclair," "Attica State," and "Born In A Prison," colonialism in "Sunday Bloody Sunday" and "The Luck Of The Irish," and racism in "Angela."The richness of Phil Spector's production fills out the danceable grooves on nearly every track. Also featured is Lennon's paean to his adopted home, "New York City," with allusions to doping clerics and transsexual rockers as well as the highly quotable line, "What a bad-ass city." On the bonus disc, Lennon and Ono get it on with Zappa and the Mothers in live sets from London and New York. Things heat up considerably with "Cold Turkey," freak out with "Don't Worry Kyoko," and veer into the ridiculous with audience participation on "Scumbag." SOMETIME IN NEW YORK CITY is some of the groovin'-est, most tuneful agit-prop ever committed to disc.

All items are graded Audio / Visually , and played on a high grade system

I grade items ( using the UK Record Collector Grading System) beneath a light , to be sure of condition

I do not believe it is necessary to use the eBay buzzwords such as STUNNING !! RARE !! AWESOME !! , padded out with grossly long winded 'descriptions' ..... Many of the 'experts' who use this method of selling also add technical information , which is totally unfounded and does not correspond with the actual facts , and would be laughable but for the fact it is totally misleading. I take time and care to graded items correctly , and only list quality records , with concise , accurate grading descriptions

I have been a lifelong music fan , my first concert visit was in 1957 (Birmingham Town Hall Skiffle Contest !) and have bought records of all the great music since 1959 , and had the privelege of seeing most of the great artists 'live' ( I saw The Beatles twice and Segovia !)

I began selling professionally in 1976 , and have a wide knowledge of the items I sell (and always learning !) having bought copies of my own at time of issue , always being interested in the sleeve , label and disc variations. If you have any queries , I will do my best to answer correctly
