Description

JOHN LENNON & YOKO ONO - THE WEDDING ALBUM Original Apple SAPCOR 11 LP Box Set, Incredibly Rare Stereo 1969 UK 1st Press Matrix's: Side A - SAPCOR 11 A-1, Side B - SAPCOR 11 B-1 (The VERY FIRST Press!!) This is an incredibly rare genuine 1st Press Box Set!! It comes complete with "Amsterdam" LP and Gatefold sleeve, Underside of Box Lid has the attached WEDDING CERTIFICATE, Press Booklet, Both Posters, White "BAGISM" Bag with WEDDING CAKE picture insert Photographs and the POSTCARD. There were very ffew of these ever made, and now, 45 years later, there can be very few complete box sets in existence, let alone one actually for sale!!
About the LP:
Labels: Classic UK 1st Press Apple labels. Both sides are in outstanding condition (see pictures), in almost as new condition, with no writing or tears anywhere. There is a very small amount of spindle wear as can be seen from the pictures.
Record: This is an original 1st Press piece of vinyl that was produced 45 years ago. It has a nice bright, clean shine to both sides. The only blemishes are just some light wispy sleeve traces, a few mild hairlines and age marks, and a few non-sound affecting marks which look to have been mostly caused from where it has been sat or been removed from it's cover over the years. Without doubt, for a record that is 45 years old, the condition must be graded as Excellent.
About the Sleeve and Inserts:
Original John Kosh designed "Shenval Press" UK 1st Press Box Set. 100% complete with the laminated outer lid with the Marriage Certificate on the inner. there is some minor ageing such as a little creaming to the white colour, a few marks and minor indents here and there, some minor wearing to the corners. The original inner tray has a few blemishes but must grade as VG-; the PVC "BAGISM" bag with wedding cake picture is in VG- condition; the AMAZING PRESS BOOK which is in incredible condition for its age; and both the WEDDING and BED PEACE posters are in fantastic condition and would have to be graded as EX+; the PASSPORT PHOTO strip and POSTCARD are in EX+ condition.
There are only a very few small signs of ageing, such as a small amount of light creaming and one or two light instances of lifting laminate. Again, I know I've said this a lot, but for an album that is 45 years old, the condition is incredibly good!
