JOHN LEWIS BILL PERKINS GRAND ENCOUNTER PACIFIC JAZZ LP
From 1956 comes this original mono deep groove pressing of the classic LP Grand Encounter (Pacific Jazz 1217) by an all-star ensemble led by John Lewis and Bill Perkins, and also including Percy Heath, Chico Hamilton, and Jim Hall.
The cover is very good plus due to some ring and edge wear in addition to a bit of discoloration on the front cover (along the spine), a bit of peeling in the front cover's lamination in the upper right, some writing on the back, and a few small seam splits (2 1/2" in the upper right-hand corner, a 1 1/2" split in the center of its spine, 3" in the center of the bottom, and another 3" split in the lower right corner). The LP itself is very good plus as well.
To protect your investment, this LP - as with all vinyl purchased at The Great Escape Online - will be placed in a new plastic outer sleeve prior to packing and shipping.
