Description

JOHN LaPORTA – JOHN LaPORTA QUINTET – DEBUT DLP 10 – 10 INCH – VG+/EX – MONO

Recorded on March 9, 1954, this Debut session features John LaPorta on alto and clarinet, Louis Mucci on trumpet, Wally Cirillo on piano, Richard Carter on bass and Ed Shaughnessy on drums. SIDE A: FLUID DRIVE; RIGHT AROUND HOME and THE OLD MAN’S TOUCH. SIDE B: THIS HECTIC LIFE; QUARTO and FRINGE AREA. This is a 10 inch MONO recording.

I have graded the vinyl as VG+and the cover as EX for the following reasons. The vinyl on both sides is clear of any marks, except for a very small one on Side B, Cut 2. There are marks around the spindle hole on both sides. There is some surface noise on the LP, although the vinyl is clean. The record jacket is in excellent to almost near mint condition. What kept this from a M- grading are a very small bent top right corner and the remains of a former sticker on the liner notes. There are no taped or damaged seams. If you have any questions, please email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks.

PAYMENT & SHIPPING

Satisfaction guaranteed on item. I regret that the USPS has raised their prices. The LP will be well packed. Fully packed in a crush proof box, it weighs 1.6 pounds. Due to increased cost, I have to charge an additional $1.00 for packing in the crush proof box. Believe me, it’s worth it! The method of payment is PayPal. As of October 20, 2008, eBay has decided to make PayPal the only method of payment for this item! This way, eBay has you coming and going! If you are a bidder who prefers to pay by other means, I suggest that you file a complaint! I regret the inconvenience. The LP will be shipped either by Media Rate @ $2.98 or by Priority Mail @ $5.80 and up depending where you reside. Overseas bidders should consider First Class Mail International. The cost to Europe and Asia begins at $20.45 in the crush proof box. It’s worth it! USPS has hammered overseas shipping!
