John Martyn, OBE (11 September 1948 – 29 January 2009), born Iain David McGeachy, was a British singer-songwriter and guitarist. Over a forty-year career he released twenty studio albums and worked with artists such as Eric Clapton, David Gilmour, and Phil Collins. He has been described as "an electrifying guitarist and singer whose music blurred the boundaries between folk, jazz, rock and blues".[1] ~ (Wikipedia).

EXCELLENT +
Both the structure and spine of this gatefold sleeve are still strong.

APPEARANCE

VERY GOOD +
There is some creasing and slight fraying towards the corners and edges. Also on the front cover there are some fray marks on the green circle picture. This aside the both the front, back cover and inner gatefold still retains its original quality.

On the B-side label there are some extremely small rub marks around the hole. However this is hardly noticeable and as you can see by the photos both sides of this famous Island Records label are still in great condition.

There are some light surface marks on both sides of this record. Also on playing the B-side there is a slight undulation in the vinyl. However, there are no significant scratches or abrasions on either side of this album.

In few places there is some extremely mild background popping. However this is not at all noticeable. Throughout John Martyn sounds terrific on this very special album.
