JOHN MARTYN - SOLID AIR

ISLAND LABEL 1973 ORIGINAL 1ST UK PRESSING WITH MACNEILL GATEFOLD SLEEVE, IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.

ALTHOUGH VISUALLY LOOKS EXTREMELY CLEAN, IT PLAYS WITH SOME LIGHT CRACKLE NOT SUITABLE FOR A FUSSY COLLECTOR    

 

 

Released in 1973 on the pink rim palm ISLAND label, I am offering today this original first UK pressing of this classic album by JOHN MARTYN that's titled "SOLID AIR".

The album comes complete with MacNeill printed matt gatefold sleeve which is in very clean excellent condition but has a three inch split in the top edge.

I have just played this through for these listing purposes and I am pleased to say that it plays well with absolutely no sticks or skips etc but there was some light crackle on the odd occasion.

 

The VINYL, The Vinyl visually looks clean it shows a few light scratches and audibly plays through in excellent condition with no sticks or skips but there is some crackle on occasion so if you are fussy this won't be for you.. 

The SLEEVE, The original MacNeill printed gatefold sleeve is clean, with no stickers or unwanted writing etc and has a fully legible spine but shows a three inch edge split on the top edge.  

The LABELS, The first issue palm Island labels are clean, showing moderate spindle traces.

The INNER, The original blue with pink text company inner is clean and free from unwanted writing or splits etc.

 

I try to be accurate in my grading as I know what its like to buy miss graded items but won't insult you by writing song lyrics etc. If you feel I have not described this correctly I am happy to refund you providing I receive the item back in the same condition as it leaves me, But I can only refund one lot of postage,
