The Worlds RAREST John Mayall Holland Album Release Bare Wires LP with advance cover HOLLAND ONLY Original Dutch pressing on the Decca label (SKL 4945) from 1968.
Both covers are in NEAR MINT condition. The record is in NEAR MINT condition as well.
This is the history of this Mega Rare Cover and record: When John Mayall was touring in Holland his album BARE WIRES was due to be released. So HOLLAND DECCA Company was eager to promote the forthcoming album and asked DECCA UK for the OK to release the album a few weeks earlier as the worldwide release. DECCA UK gave the OK , but what happened. John Mayall HIMSELF was not pleased with the lay out of the original to be fold out Bare Wires cover. He was not pleased with the colour composition. So the cover was TWICE banned by John Mayall. Pressed by lack of time DECCA Holland created an ADVANCE pre release cover in Black and White. On front of the cover Decca Holland explained in Dutch Language what was the "problem" with the cover. Buyers could get the original cover at the official release date from Decca Holland by seperate mail.
NOW this advance cover is the MOST RAREST Mayall item ever.
