Personnel: John Mayall (voc, keyboards, harmonica), Eric Clapton (voc,guitar), John McVie (bass), Hughie Flint (drums) with Alan Skidmore (tenor sax), John Almond (baritone sax), Dennis Healey (trumpet) on some tracks. Produced by Mike Vernon. Engineer: Gus Dudgeon.
This 1966 album is one of the milestones in the development of rock music in Britain. Like Alexis Korner, John Mayall 'fathered' many British rock music greats, and this album marked the real start of the British blues boom, which in turn developed into psych, prog, and so many other byways of rock music. This copy is the original, early pressing mono one with the "Beano" cover, which is generally EX, apart from someone called 'Wiseman' has written his/her name on the back (top left corner) - not a wise man at all. His name is also on the labels. Apart from that blip, the disc is VG+ with a few very light surface marks, none of which affect the playing.
