JOHN PRINE SINGS "I SAW MOMMY KISSING SANTA CLAUS" & "SILVER BELLS."  Oh Boy Records No. OB-1.  This is John Prine singing about his favorite subject: Christmas.  He always enjoyed Christmas and in later years he kept a Christmas tree up all year long.  This is Oh Boy record number one.  It is just a 45 RPM single with his second wife accompanying him as Rachel Mae (real name Rachel Peer).  The piano work is noticeable as it is by Del Wood, the Grand Ole Opry star who played honky-tonk piano for decades.  I read that the photos on the cover were of John on Santa's knee when he was a child as well as Rachel as a child.  My wife and I have been John Prine fans for many, many years and I have had this record for at least thirty years it seems.  We always saw him at every opportunity and were heartbroken at his passing. 
If you are a John Prine fan you likely do not have this particular record.  It is in good condition with a small place in the record that looks as if there is a dark spot in the vinyl.  It is in nice condition and plays well but you can see a dark place in the red vinyl.  The cover has bends and a few small tears at the top as well as a place on the back where a sticker (likely price) was removed.  Not perfect, but very scarce.
