JOHN SANGSTER-THE JOKER IS WILD-LP -SUPER RARE & AMAZING AUSTRALIAN JAZZ FUNK BREAKS
When it comes to Australian Jazz Funk releases no album is greater than this one, John Sangster "The Joker Is Wild". It's one of a handful of Australian Jazz albums I would count as total flawless which is what makes it incredibly collectable ! The album has been elevated to Holy Grail status due to it's brilliance and rarity....to this point it has never been re-issued. Released it 1968 it was far ahead of it's time in sound and production and is much sort after by Jazz collectors, Funk collectors and Hip Hop collectors due to it's seriously off the hook break on "Love Is Blue". There's also a standout and much sort after version of "A Day In A Life" which really makes the album worth owning.
Condition of this album is beautiful, LP I would grade as Excellent. Sleeve is VG+ and does have some very slight wear as you'll see by the photo's. Labels are clean.
Don't let this little gem go if you're into collecting incredible albums.
