From the mischievous "Indy's Very First Adventure" to the menacing "Brother of the Cruciform Sword," Williams' melodies operate in broad, vivid strokes, forgoing nuance in favor of larger than life thrills and chills. There's no denying Williams does this sort of thing better than anyone else, however, and for all its seeming simplicity, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade makes for genuinely exciting listening.
