This is a scarce UK 1st press of Wanted One Soul Singer by Johnnie Taylor. Released in 1967, this earliest press can be identified by the A1/B1 matrix, the earliest heavy vinyl and the blue Stax label. The record is complete with the original laminated Ernest J Day sleeve.

The record is in Very Good+ condition. The vinyl is extremely glossy, there are no signs of heavy play at all, there are just a couple of light marks. The label is extremely clean and bright. The colour is bold and there is only the slightest spindle wear. 

When played the sound is rich, vibrant and very clear with Excellent audio separation throughout.

The Ernest J Day laminated sleeve is in Excellent condition. The picture is still exceptionally bright and the laminate has a wonderful bright mirrorlike shine. The blue is warm and bold. There is some light ring and edge wear. The whole sleeve is solid.  625 (GS 6.9.7 (625))
