Description
Up for sale is the first and most collectible SUN label 45 RPM record ever recorded by the legendary Johnny Cash. Collectors of SUN label records know much more about the collectibility of this rare 45 than I, so I'll let you determine, by viewing the uploaded pictures of the 45, how collectible this record is. I must mention to those who may not know, that this 45 is an original SUN 45 RPM record, as evidenced by the obvious punch marks on the labels. I didn't dare try to clean the minor rub marks on the labels, as I am not an expert on such. I played this record just now, and it receives a grade of VG+, and this is ONLY due to the minor background noise that you would expect from a record that was pressed and released in 1955. But I will tell you that the sound is crystal clear, and you will NOT be disappointed by the quality sound of this extremely rare record. Thanks for having a look at this rare record, and good luck if you choose to bid on it.
On Apr-26-13 at 06:31:03 PDT, seller added the following information:Oops! I meant to write "push" marks in the description, and in re-reading the discription I noticed that I wrote "punch" marks...sorry about that! I also looked up another listing of this record, and the seller described the minor background noise as "minor hissing that all early SUN Records 45's possesed," and I wasn't aware of this fact, so I thought I'd mention it now.
On Apr-29-13 at 10:02:42 PDT, seller added the following information:For those of you in Europe and Japan who have asked if I will ship this record to you, the answer is YES. I tried to add the Global Shipping Program to this listing, but I was not allowed to do it. If you are the winning bidder and you live outside of the Continental US, I will ship you this record upon receiving payment for it via PayPal. There was also a mistake in listing the weight and size of the box it will be shipped in. The actual size will be approximately 8 X 8 inches.
