Description
Artist / Title: Johnny Cash - With His Hot And Blue Guitar (12-inch LP)
Format: 12-inch black vinyl LP / Sleeve / Original Innersleeve
Label: London Records - American Series (UK) Made in England, 1959
Catalogue No. HA-S 2179 (Mono)
UK second pressing of Cash's debut LP, issued two years earlier on Sun Records in the US. This is an original 1959 press but second issue - note the flipbacks on rear are just top and bottom, and the deep plum label does not have the outer ridge. However it is a fabulous looking and sounding LP, with the laminated front among the best I've ever seen of this vintage. (Please note the contrast on the front between the blacks & reds is deeper and sharper than my limited camera can achieve - closer to the final photo provided.)
Condition: Vinyl / Sleeve:
Mono Vinyl Very Good / Looks lovely, really clean and shiny, very minor marks. Plays as Excellent throughout, sharp, dynamic, no distortion, virtually no noise. Labels: clean, some light spindle marks, nothing to mess with integrity of actual void - see pics provided. Sleeve - Excellent - incredibly strong laminated front with no laminate lift, colours are bright (and dark), very little creasing / Non-laminate rear has ringwear and a couple of grubby marks - but still great for vintage. Original innersleeve - Excellent.
Photos are provided but please feel free to request more.
