THE CHARM AND FINESSE OF VINYL ON CD
Johnny Harris Plays Lionel Bart
Originally issued in 1966 under the title 'The Heart Of Bart' this is the 1970 reissue renamed 'Johnny Harris Plays Lionel Bart'.
This was Johnny Harris's first album release as arranger and conductor and has the seeds of his inimitable style. The transfer of the programme content was made at 24-bit 96kHz resolution then assessment and analysis of the music file made within iZotope RX7 studio software. Minimal and sensitive techniques applied to achieve a clean file but retention of detail being of paramount importance.
The tracks were then downsampled and burned to CD
You are buying PRIMARILY the LP with a restored transfer to cd as a backup copy to the vinyl disc.
The Project and outcome
Recorded in 1966 this was clearly a project close to Johnny Harris's heart as Lionel Bart was a close friend. Johnny Harris became the first conductor that could be seen jigging and flailing around to what the orchestra was doing (particularly on the Lulu show). As well as writing scores for movies his dynamic style was legendary and has worked with a lot of the great entertainers in his time... Tom Jones, Engelbert Humperdinck, Lulu, Petula Clark, Paul Anka, Sammy Davis Jr, Lynda Carter, Julie Andrews, Howard Keel, Richard Harris, Shirley Bassey...
