Description

JOHNNY THUNDERS So Alone (Real RAL 1) Import MINT-

A RARE original UK first pressing of Johnny Thunders` debut album, recorded during a UK sojourn and released on Real Records (1978). "So Alone" is a brilliant amalgam of classic rhythm `n`blues, rock `n`roll and punk elements, all in equal measure and brilliantly balanced by Steve Lillywhite`s trademark transparent production.

Features the inimitable "You Can`t Put Your Arms Round A Memory", "London Boys" and "Daddy Rollin`Stone", as well as the drug-fuelled antics of Peter Perrett (Only Ones), Steve Marriott (Humble Pie), Phil Lynott, Chrissie Hynde, Steve Cook and Paul Jones (Sex Pistols) and many, many others. Definitely a classic of its genre and, er...a pretty rare find in a condition this nice.

Grading:

VG++ to MINT- COVER with a few light creases along the top edge and slight wear to one corner (bottom right). Also includes the original lyric sheet in perfect condition.

MINT- RECORD with a few hairlines from sleeve removal only. A nicer copy will be hard to find! "A 1" and "B 1" matrix stamps in the run-off grooves denote a very first UK pressing, released well before Sire Records in the USA.

PLEASE NOTE: SHIPPING WILL BE $13 TO USA AND REST OF THE WORLD / $9 TO EUROPE.

eBay`s maximum mailing cost for the US is predetermined at $4. Obviously, the new pricing system does not foresee foreign sellers listing in the US. However, we cannot possibly ship a record to the US from Europe for this price. Please bid only if you agree with the mailing costs as outlined above.

PLEASE DO NOT PAY FOR THE ITEM BEFORE RECEIVING A PERSONALIZED PAYPAL INVOICE!
