Description
JOHNNY THUNDERS - 'So Alone' LUXURY RHINO IMPORT PRESSING.
Quality 1st Solo album by the fantastic Johnny Thunders - Issued by Rhino this is simply essential.
The one and only Johnny Thunders a voice of our generation and incredible song writer, Johnny penned hundreds of great songs whether with the New York Dolls, The Heartbreakers or solo he was prolific in fact I would go as far as to say the man was a creative genius.
This classic solo album featuring backup from some major players on the 70's punk and music scene, Paul Cook and Steve Jones from the Sex Pistols, Phil Lynott from Thin Lizzy to name just three.
Johnny put his heart and soul into every part of this album, the track London Boys was his response to the Sex Pistols song New York, refering to McLaren's puppetry of the Pistols with the scathing line "You need an escort to take a p!ss, to hold your hand and shake your dick"
The sheer quality rerecording of the dolls classic Subway Train and the gritty Downtown written with fellow New York Doll David Johansen command's you give this album a listen
Anyway this is a pure treat for any big Johnny Thunders or Heartbreakers fan or indeed any quality punk record collector, now out of safe storage for a real fan to add to their collection and enjoy.
