Promo picture sleeve
Quite hard-to-find original 1978 3-track 7" on Ringo Starr's short-lived Ring O'Records imprint, made all the more rare by being housed in a promo picture sleeve, with the Ringo O logo on the front and text to the rear giving a short biography of the artist (the regular commercial picture sleeve utilised a version of the picture seen on the sleeve rear). The tracks on Side B are NOT The Clash and John Lennon titles, but songs of the same name by Johnny Warman!
Cover is VG+ with 2 tiny pin-pricks in top right-hand corner and a very small amount of minor staining at bottom to rear. The record EX with just the odd very light 'hairline' only. Note that there is a BBC Radio Manchester sticker on the A Side label with a stamped date (24 March 1978 - presumably the release date). I have teased up a corner and I'm sure that this label will peel off with care, if you so desire!PLEASE NOTE THAT DURING THIS VIRUS OUTBREAK I WILL NOT BE VISITING THE POST OFFICE, AND WILL ONLY BE SENDING ITEMS THAT WILL FIT INTO A POST BOX. VINYL GRADING
NEW: note that still sealed items will be presumed to be in 'new' condition, but are obviously sold as seen. Any visible signs of wear/storage etc. beneath the shrinkwrap will be mentioned.
MINT: note please note that I will NEVER use the 'MINT' grade, as I think you are asking for trouble! The highest grade for an item that is not new will use will be NM (Near Mint).
NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in very close to 'as new' condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in almost perfect condition.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played a number of times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and maybe some occasional light scratches. If there is any surface noise it will be occasional, light and unobtrusive. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has obviously been played a lot and while it still plays through OK, it will have a lot of surface marks and/or light scratches (maybe also the occasional 'feelable' scratch) and most likely there there will be regular and noticeable surface noise. The cover and contents may suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine and/or seam splits, discoloration, etc.
