Description
On offer is the JOHN’S CHILDREN 45 rpm entitled DESDEMONA c/w REMEMBER THOMAS ABECKET released in a RARE PICTURE SLEEVE in the UK on TRACK 600 403 in 1967.
This psych / beat 45 was written by Marc Bolan – who was then one of John’s Children. The 45 was banned by the BBC as the lyrics included ‘lift up your skirts and fly’… This 45 did not sell well in the UK and is a rare record. Some copies [such as this one] were released in a rare picture sleeve.
- The rare picture sleeve is fully intact. There is some staining which appear to be have been caused by water (or other liquid spill) in the distant past [see scans] – but this is not too bad as you can see.
- The vinyl for this 45rpm is in LOVELY EX to EX+ condition: it has not been played much at all.
- The record label on the A side [see scans] has a slight tear [just above the date 1967].
- I have test-played the disc for this auction. The record plays and sounds GREAT on my Bose stereo hi-fi.
Please contact me if you have any questions. Good luck with this auction and please note my other eBay auctions.Thank you for looking.
