ITEM DESCRIPTION:  Rare Bluegrass on Wango LP-104 by John's Country Quartet which is actually The Stanley Brothers, for those who don't know, In 1966 the Stanley Brothers recorded four albums for Wango, a private label owned by bluegrass broadcaster Ray Davis out of Baltimore MD. On these records they were billed as either John's Country Quartet or John's Gospel Quartet. The jackets were anonymous white sleeves, and the only information was on the label. This album was placed in a Robins Repjacks Replacement Record Jacket with the title and label number written in black marker on one side. The albums were re-released as Stanley Brothers recordings on the County label in 1977; this one, Wango 104, was released as County 739. At the time of the reissues, the JEMF Quarterly called these Wango albums "among the finest albums that Ralph and Stanley recorded."  -Listen, Don't miss out you probably will not find this record again in this condition.

VINYL CONDITION: VG+/VG++ appears well cared for, has some light dust, has a few light scuffs and a few small marks on B side, first track on B side East Virginia Blues has some static at start, plays and sounds awesome, (please listen to a long sound clip of Long Journey Home, taken directly from the record that is for sale to give you an example of the record's sound quality).

LABEL CONDITION: VG+  labels have light to moderate wear, has some wear around spindle hole, B side has some scuffing alon one spot on deep groove, has previous owners number written in small marker at bottom of Side 1.

COVER CONDITION: VG+ The Robins Repjacks Replacement Cover has light wear on edges, surfaces, and corners, has John's Country Quartet and Wango 104 written in black marker on one side, has No seam splits.
