Have Chiwax just gone and released the best reissue of 2016 thus far? Yes, we're pretty happy to say that we think so! Paul Johnson, the Chicago pioneer who has released countless music on Dance Mania, Relief, Cajual and Peacefrog - and who shouldn't really require an introduction - marks the 20th anniversary of The Other Side Of Me LP, originally out on Relief back in 1996, by dropping a remastered version on elision of Germany's most consistent labels. This is an album for house lovers, and there isn't really much more to say apart form that; each tune is a total banger, and the amazing thing is just how fresh it still sounds today, especially besides the sort of house music being released on imprints like LIES and Sex Tags Mania, who have taken the imprint of artists such as Johnson, and given it a new makeover. This is timeless gear, you'd be very silly not to!
