To our ears, Tropical Disco's recently launched TDR LTD sub-label has much more potential than its' parent, primarily because it focuses on original productions rather than housed-up re-edits. There's certainly plenty to set the pulse racing on the imprint's second release, starting with a new airing of Paul Johnson's 2004 cut 'She Got Me On', a cheery chunk of bouncy, sun-kissed house blessed with distinctively sparkling guitar sounds and a trademark lead vocal from the Chicago house veteran. Over on the flip, British scene stalwarts Soul Central (they of the much-loved 'Strings of Life' cover fame) deliver some beefy, Glitterbox style disco-house cheeriness, before rising star Dominic Balchin closes out the EP via accurately titled jazz-funk-goes-house number 'A Touch of Jazz'.
