Welcome....This is an original 1964 pressing of "Jolly What"-The Beatles & Frank Ifield on Stage on the Vee-Jay label. This is pretty rare and it's hard to find a "genuine" copy of this title. You've just found one!

This album has been counterfeited  almost as much as "Introducing The Beatles" also on the Vee-Jay label. Counterfeits of this record, Jolly What!, have black covers instead of purple and they have no printing on the spine of the cover. This copy has the purple cover and the spine print.
This won't last long....get it while you can!

Condition: The album is so rare that even though it is not in the best condition, it is still worthy of being a filler copy until the perfect one comes along. Despite the "on stage" part of the title, this is not a live recording. It is a collection of both artists "studio" recordings.

Cover: (G) (solid with some paper loss and repaired seams). Some staining is present on back cover and the number "33" written at top right of front cover.
It looks like someone has removed scotch tape from the front cover leaving torn paper. (Why do people do stuff like that?)
Spine print is present but not totally readable due to some paper loss. The cover is a dark purple color...not black, and it has printing on the spine indicating a genuine VJ release.

Vinyl: (G)  Vinyl has some visible imperfections which I tried to capture in the photos. They might actually be factory imperfections.
It looks like an outline of wrinkled plastic wrap on the vinyl on side 2 but it does not affect play in the least. It actually creates a cool design.
Side 1 also has what looks like a layer of dull plastic wrap covering the vinyl and it does not affect play either. It might be a permanent imprint of a plastic wrap that was once used...then removed. Strange. Does not affect the audio.

(Play Grade)- I just played the entire record and there is quite a bit of background noise, (crackling) throughout both sides along with some random ticks and pops.
There are no skips and despite the noise, once the songs are playing, they sound good. It's best to keep your system set to mono while playing it. It keeps the crackling to a minimum. The stereo affect enhances the audible noise.

(Note)- The Beatles tracks on this LP are not the more commonly heard versions. At least two are different mixes. (From Me To You) & (Thank You Girl). Remember, this is VJ, not Capitol. They had all the rights to the music at that time.
