Description
Joseph Benvenuti, 1898 - 1967, primarly a chamber musician, who studied with Louis Diémer and Armand Ferté at the Conservatory Paris. Professor at this Conservatory from 1955 - 67. His students included François-René Duchable and Annie Petit.
2 records 12" Pathé PDT 49-50 Needle Cut: Liszt, Concerto in E flat major No 1, with the Orchestra de la Société des Conserts du Conservatoire Paris, cond. by Charles Münch. Matrices CPTX 496 - 499, all take 1. Condition: 2, one slight scratch on part 4.
3 records 12" Pathé PGT 33 - 35, Needle Cut: Beethoven, Trio in C minor op. 1 No 3 with Benvenuti piano, Benedetti violin, Navarra cello. Matrices CPTX 464 - 469, all take 1. Condition: 2; two needle runs on side 3
Grading:
1 = mint, never played on gramophone, is not used
1-2 = top copy, no traces of use - virtually as new
2 = excellent copy, few light non-sounding rubs/marks
2-3 = light traces of wear (rubs/marks), very light greying and/or light scratches, non sounding blemishes
3 = a good average copy with more noticeable rubs and marks; light greying, few light scratches possible
3-4 = more traces of use, sonic wear from light greying. An inferior average copy, light scratches possible
4 = some sounding wear, heavier rubs and marks, scratches possible
5 = obvious sounding wear, heavy rubs, marks, scratches. An unsatisfactory copy.
