Buchbinder spielt Haydn klar, souverän und stilbewusst. Er betont die Eleganz, den Witz und die formale Raffinesse dieser Musik, ohne sie unnötig romantisch zu überladen. Dadurch entsteht ein sehr hörenswerter Zyklus, der sowohl zum konzentrierten Hören als auch zum Entdecken von Haydns weniger bekannten Klavierwerken einlädt.
