HELLO AND WELCOME TO MY 'ONE OFF' WEDNESDAY NIGHT AUCTIONS (ENDING LATE WEDNESDAY 17TH DECEMBER!)!!!!

On offer here is a VERY rare 10" LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Josh White called "A Josh White Programme" and is an ORIGINAL 1951 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Gold Print London label!!!!  THIS 10" LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS IS JOSH WHITE'S FIRST & RAREST UK LP EVER - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1951 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS, AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!!  AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!  BUT THERE IS ONE INCREDIBLE DETAIL - THAT MAKES THIS 10" LP ONE OF THE RAREST AND HIGHLY PRIZED LPs OF ALL TIME!!!!  AND THAT IS - THAT THIS 10" LP IS THE FIRST EVER UK BLUES LP EVER RELEASED, ONLY A FEW HUNDRED COPIES WERE EVER SOLD, AND WAS MADE IN THE VERY FIRST YEAR OF LP PRODUCTION IN THE UK (1951)!!!!  WHICH MAKES THIS LP AN INCREDIBLE 64 YEARS OLD!!!!  NOW, ALTHOUGH LPs WERE INTRODUCED IN THE U.S.A. IN AROUND 1948 - IT WASNT UNTIL 1951 WHEN THE UK FOLLOWED SUIT.  1951 WAS THE VERY FIRST YEAR OF LP PRODUCTION IN THE UK - AND LIKE ANY NEW TECHNOLOGY, THEY COST AN ABSOLUTE FORTUNE TO OWN!!!!  HENCE LPs FROM THIS PERIOD ONLY SOLD IN TINY AMOUNTS - ONLY A FEW HUNDRED COPIES EACH!!!!  HOWEVER - 1951 WAS WELL BEFORE THE START OF ROCK'N'ROLL - AND HENCE 99% OF LPs IN 1951 WERE STAGE SHOWS, EASY LISTENING, OR JAZZ.  BUT THIS 10" LP WAS THE GREAT EXCEPTION!!!!  IT WAS THE FIRST EVER BLUES LP EVER RELEASED IN THE UK - AND IS ALMOST NEVER SEEN!!!!  IT ALSO AN EXTREMELY GOOD BLUES LP TOO - AND PROPER BLUES, WITH PIANO & GUITAR ETC!!!!  SOME OF THESE TRACKS REALLY ROCK - ESPECIALLY 'MOVE TO THE OUTSKIRTS OF TOWN' WITH PIANO, GUITAR, AND DRUMS!!!!  NOW SOME OF JOSH WHITE'S LATER LPs WERE MORE JAZZY BLUES - AND HAVE LESS INTEREST TO COLLECTORS.  BUT THIS LP IS A PROPER BLUES LP IN ALL RESPECTS, IS A SUPERB LISTEN!!!! 

BETTER STILL - IS THAT IT IS A 100% GENIUNE UK 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING FROM 1951, AND NOT A LATER 1950s PRESSING!!!!  AND THIS IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP!!!!   INCREDIBLY, IT HAS 'GOLD PRINT' (LATER ONES FROM 1954 ONWARDS DONT!), 'NO.1' AND 'NO.2' ON EITHER LABEL (LATER CHANGED TO 'SIDE 1' AND 'SIDE 2'), A 'CT' RUN OFF TAX CODING (LATER ONES FROM 1953 WERE CHANGED TO 'NT' AND THEN IN 1956 'RT'), A PLAIN DESIGNED COVER - WITH NO PICTURE ON THE FRONT (LATER ONES FROM 1954 DO!), AND NO 'SLEEVE NOTES' ON THE REVERSE (LATER ONES FROM 1952/3 HAD THESE ADDED!)!!!!  SO THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT AT ALL - THAT THIS IS THE 'EARLIEST' & RAREST 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE - AND THE CHANCES OF EVER FINDING ANOTHER ONE AGAIN, ARE VIRTUALLY ZERO!!!!

NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN BRILLIANT CONDITION - AND HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!!  I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO STATE THAT DESPITE THIS 10" LP BEING 64 YEARS OLD - IT IS BEING GRADED EXACTLY LIKE ANY OTHER LP, AND THE GRADING IS DEFINITELY NOT BEING COMPENSATED FOR AGE!!!!   JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1951 UK 10" 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING ON THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'GOLD PRINT' LABEL, 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS LABEL TEXT, 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'CT' RUN OFF TAX CODING, 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'JAMES UPTON' FLIPBACK COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL London UK 1st Pressing from 1951 and is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl.  The Cat. No is H-APB 1005 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press London label (see picture) and is a UK MONO 1st Pressing!!!

The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!!  IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!!  The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  Most of these 50s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, only 2 or 3 VERY light hairlines, only 2 or 3 MEGA light scufflines, only 2 or 3 TINY surface traces, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND SHINES LIKE NEW!!!!  It is also great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, barely ANY clicks AT ALL, NO sticking, NO jumps, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!!  Yes NO DISTORTION on a 64 year old record!!!!  The only other thing to mention is that it does have some background sound on playback - though this is EXACTLY as manufactured in 1951 - and common to ALL UK LPs of this period!!!!  The record must grade Very Good+ if not better!!!!  And PLEASE NOTE - the '+' in the grading has NOT be added to compensate for age!!!!  In fact, I am certain most would grade even higher still!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!!  I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve which is in BRILLIANT condition - with NO splits!!!!  The ORIGINAL 'Earliest' 1st Press 'James Upton' Flipback Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  It has NO splits, barely ANY edge wear, NO rips, NO tears, barely ANY spinal wear AT ALL, NO sticker marks, only VERY slight corner wear, only a VERY few light creases (cover is VERY flat looking indeed!), NO ringwear, NO rubbing, NO annotations, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL!!!!  Even the back of the cover is in BRILLIANT condition with NO grubbyness, NO yellowing, NO rubbing, and NO writing!!!!  The cover must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!!  BRILLIANT COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
