Original FIRST PRESSING of "An Ideal For Living" 7" EP
by JOY DIVISION.
One of the most sought after post punk records and the first vinyl record of the Joy Division.
Released in 1978 on Enigma Records.
This is the real thing. the original very first UK pressing. Not a fake or later pressing.
Catalogue Number PSS 139
Matrix code on the runout groove "PSS 139 EP A-1 EG" on Side A and "PSS 139 EP B-1 EG" on Side B. This code is engraved on the dead wax and is very small. The label are flat black, not glossy or shiny. The sleeve is a wonderful 14"x14"foldout cover with crisp pictures. Owned since its release and handled with care. Thus the conditions are stunning. Mint/Mint.
You can't find a better copy.
Foldout cover opened once so spine is intact, round corners, no yellowing. Sorry for the poor picture. but the paper is WHITE!!! No writings, no tears, no stains, no creases.
Vinyl was played once and its free of surface marks, scratches or scuffs.
Labels are intact with no spindle marks.
Please bid accordingly. It was an hard decision to sell it as I always stored it with the best care possible.
Late addition. I got a few emails about the area around the labels. I will try to provide a description as best as I can. A very small area all around the labels is notched. There's a notched ring. This is the first UK pressing purchased in London in 1980!

2 new pictures added. A scan of the label, sorry but I have an old scanner. The dust is on the scanner, not on the vinyl record. A picture of the unfolded 14"x14"sleeve.
