Joy Division - Still - 2xLP (Factory - FACT 40) 1981

This is the rare first italian pressing, featuring wrong master of record 1. The UK Factory label sent to the italian licensee BASE Records a wrong matrix. The italian label pressed a first amount of copies (but, on request of the UK label who discovered their error, they stopped very fast to distribute it) and repressed (more times) with the correct official masters. So, the "original" italian copies around with the wrong masters are not so many... Very rare one!
EX+ vinyl(s) and sleeve.
Labels are printed black on white. Gatefold sleeve with top opening. Address on the rear sleeve is shown as Via Castiglione. Matrix number are FACT 40 1/FACT 40 2/FACT 40 3/FACT 40 4.

The differences between this version and the right one are:
SIDE 1
- After track 1 "Excercise One", Ian can be heard saying: "I still can't hear myself"
- Before track 2 "Ice Age" there's some 'instrumental tuning'
- Track 3 "The Sound Of Music" starts with some (very silent) talking
- Track 4 is "Digital" instead of "Glass"
- Track 5 "The Only Mistake" has the same intro and outro, although according to some this song has a little bit of extra 'noise'/'sound' at the start.
SIDE 2
- "Dead Souls" replaces "Walked In Line" as track 6
- Although track 7, "The Kill", is supposed to have extra 'noise'/'sound' at the start, actually the very short note at the start is missing (the rather faint note, sounding like Peter Hook is moving his finger lightly across one of the strings on his bass guitar, like at the start of "Walked In Line")
- The intro of track 8 "Something Must Break" is slightly longer, with some additional (synth/keyboards?) 'noises'
- "Walked In Line" replaces "Dead Souls" as track 9
- "Sister Ray" has no differences
SIDE 3

- At the end of the side there's a sixth track, “24 Hours”, not written in the tracklist

The labels list the correct songs/running order though (it's got black labels with white writing, and the song titles are listed too unlike on the UK version).

The original owner has pencil-written the differences of the tracklist on the inside sleeve (see pictures above).

Initial quantities are mispressed using the wrong master.
Studio version of 'Digital' is included as are several different versions of standard issue tracks. EG. -at the end of 'Exercise One' Ian can be heard talking to the control room. Other tracks were issued on 'Heart & Soul' box set later. Black labels with white text. Gatefold sleeve with top opening.
Address on the rear sleeve is shown as 'Base Records Via Castiglione'. However, this address does not guarantee a mispress. The mispress has the matrix number FACT 40 1/FACT 40 2/FACT 40 3/FACT 40 4. On copies with corrected tracks it's FACT 1/FACT 2/FACT 3/FACT 4.
