[FACTORY, FAC 28, UK]
I don't really know what I've got here.
I recently bought a small stack of records from a collector which included some Factory stuff, and in there was this ”Komakino” flexi WITH A SLEEVE.
It's a silver coloured sleeve with rough, almost sandpaper-ish texture to it, with smooth embossed silver foil print for the titles/info. It's a fold over sleeve with thumb cut at the top on the back.
I've reached out to the Joy Division/Factory collectors community, and some people seem to think that it's a fan-made sleeve, while others think that it's some sort of rejected proof/test sleeve. I honestly don't know either way.
The "Komakino" flexi was as far as I know not released with a sleeve in the UK. A sleeve for the US release exists that was included with copies of the "The Öther Sound" fanzine, but the one I have here has got a much more professional UK-kinda look/feel to it. The embossed glossy print against the rough silver background looks really striking.
The actual flexi is the UK pressed Lyntone variant.
Sleeve condition: M-
Vinyl condition: EX- (very light hairlines, plays great, listen!)
