LET THE MOVIE BEGIN is a collection of Joy Division live performances interspersed with audio interviews with band members, including several with the late Ian Curtis. A sonic companion to the documentary film about the band, LET THE MOVIE BEGIN captures the post-punk legends at various club gigs in Europe, providing a valuable snapshot of the band’s thrilling, mercurial live energy. The sound quality is variable (for the interviews it is mostly poor), but Joy Division fans will find that a small price to pay for this treasure trove of rare, extraordinary material.
