Description

Up for auction is a rare VINYL 4Lp box set of THE FACTORY STORY / 1979-1990 released from FACTORY Communications Ltd in 1991.

Volume 1 "Tears in Their Eyes" of the 4 vinyl records covers the years 1979-1982 and features Joy Division, OMD, A Certain Ratio, The Durutti Column, Section 25 among others.

Volume 2 "Life's A Beach" covers the years 1981-1986 with New Order, Section 25, Cabaret Voltaire, Happy Mondays and others.

Volume 3 "The Beat Groups" focusses on the decade from 1979-1989 with Joy Division, New Order, Happy Mondays, James, The Railway Children etc.

Volume 4 "Selling Out" covers the final stage from 1987-1990 with bands like New Order, Steve Martland, Electronic, Joy Division, Northside etc.


The BOX only shows minimal wear with a bit of dust around the edges. Apart from this the BOX is fully intact with NO seam splits or cracks, all eight corners are unsplit and fully intact! The BOX easily grades as EXCELLENT!

All four RECORD SLEEVES and all four PRINTED ART INNER SLEEVE are in NEAR MINT condition!

All four VINYL RECORDS are in NEAR MINT condition! There's not a single mark on any of the eight sides to report of!

All eight LABELS are in NEAR MINT condition! There are no nasty spidermarks around any spindle-hole!

The BOOKLET is in great condition and grades as NEAR MINT!

MINT: The Record Itself Is In Brand New Condition With No Surface Marks Or Deterioration In Sound Quality. The Cover And Any Extra Items Such As The Lyric Sheet, Booklet Or Poster Are In Perfect Condition. Records Advertised, As Sealed Or Unplayed Should Be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The Record Shows Some Signs Of Having Been Played, But There Is Very Little Lessening In Sound Quality. The Cover And Packaging Might Have Slight Wear And / Or Creasing.

VERY GOOD: The Record Has Obviously Been Played Many Times, But Displays No Major Deterioration In Sound Quality, Despite Noticeable Surface Marks And The Occasional Light Scratch. Normal Wear And Tear On The Cover Or Extra Items, Without Any Major Defects, Is Acceptable.
