Description
Joy Division, Still
Joy Division, Still.
1981 UK Factory Records 2 x LP set, FACT 40.
Early version with thick matt grey sleeve and white embossed lettering. Inner sleeves are of similar heavy duty build and load to the inner of the gatefold, with the gatefold inners having rounded corners at top centre area. A1/B1/C1/D1 "The Chicken Won't Stop/Stops Here" to dead wax/run-offs. Note that this version does NOT feature "Town House" to the run-offs.
Vinyl glossy and visually EX with just a few light scuffs.
There is some low level crackle to the run-in of A1 which strays into the quiet intro until the volume kicks in proper. There is also some low level crackle heard at separator bands. However otherwise the tracks play cleanly with no obvious background noise. The second LP plays with just very infrequent low level crackle at separator bands and again the tracks play cleanly with no obvious background noise.
Labels are clean and unmarked.
Inner sleeves a strong EX. No splits, and just a couple of dots of marks.
External sleeve also better than most, this sleeve is generally not a brilliant survivor. This one is structurally EX with minimal wear. A couple of handling smudges and two or three small and unobtrusive marks. Small removed sticker shadow to top right of front panel. Spine has held up well enough with lettering still perfectly legible and just light wear to head and tail. Spine is just gently and uniformly toned. The other edges have held up well with no fraying or splitting.
