Description
JOY DIVISION - Unknown Pleasures / MIKE OLDFIELD - Tubular Bells
This is a very rare mispress issued only in France. This is an early 1980s issue, where the side A of the record actually has Mike Oldfield's "Tubular Bells" instead of Joy Division's "Unknown Pleasures". As far as I know, this is the first time that such record is offered up for auction.
Matrix numbers are:
side A VIRG2933 722 1 380 C D S 2026 1A A
side B A8 1 9 2 0 1 8 83 B V
Record is in VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) condition. There are a few superficial marks or scratches on the playing surface but they do not influence the playback in any important way. The record is clean and plays very well with just a hint of surface noise in the quietest passages, without skips, louder clicks or distortions.
The original textured cover is in VERY GOOD (VG) condition with general wear. There is some ringwear present as seen on the photos. The seams are solid, without splits. The original inner cover is slightly dirty and yellowed.
